10 Things Happiness Is: {TToT}

We had a really good weekend. I spent most of my free time sewing dresses for a benefit I was to be a vendor at on Sunday. Saturday evening, I was invited to a "Mom's Night In" with a Mary Kay rep, Jewelry Designer and a Pampered Chef rep. It was a great evening. I got to catch up with an old friend and I brought a new friend along with me. I got some awesome new jewelry from Splendid Creations for You. Vanessa makes all her designs and it's super cute and all for great prices! I even placed an order with my good friend Cori and her Pampered Chef business. It was definitely a much needed Mom's night out for me!

Sunday, Matt helped me out at the benefit. A little boy, Samuel, was born several weeks premature and was not fully developed. He spent his life in the hospital and passed on at 3 months old. The benefit was planned to help his family. So sad. The benefit itself was a success for the family. I sold a few items, but all in all I think I was out of place for what it was. The family and friends of a biker community and I think that any other vendor out there did not do well unless there was "Harley" incorporated within their products. Unfortunately I do not have any little girls dresses with motorcycles on them!

Good weekend.

It's Tuesday again! Here's another Shabby Blog Link Party!!

{Top 10 on Tuesday}

The Rules:
1. Keep it family-friendly y'all.
2. Please only link to your blog if you are actually posting about the top ten list topic we are giving you. We are sure your dog is adorable and your homemade curtains turned out awesome, but this link party is for those participating in our top ten list challenges only.

10 Things Happiness is to Me:

1. My girls laughing and playing together. It's rare, but it warms my heart when they do play!

2. Seeing wide open country all the way to every horizon.

3. Seeing foals and calves run and play for the first time.

4. Learning family history. Digging up unknowns of my distant past is like seeing a real life mystery unfold before me.

5. A steamy cup of Earl Grey tea in a vintage patterned fine bone china tea cup.

6. Buying $50 clothes for under $10 at an Outlet Mall

7. Shooting stars (Okay, meteors...) and the moon being visible during the day. "Signs" from loved ones who've gone before us.

8. Talking about anything, everything and nothing with my husband late into the night.

9. Rare date nights.

10. God. Eternity with Him.

  2. Hi Courtney,

    This is Dean from Little Steps. For the life of me, can't figure out how to comment using my Wordpressblog. so I'm commenting using my old one. Anyway, I agree with you on numbers 1, 2 (although I"m realising now that I actually miss living in the city!), 5 (though I can drink any kind of tea! I blame the Brits for this influence on me =), 6 (I love bargain/sale clothes!). And agree with everything else on your list =) All the best, Dean.

    1. Oh! I have not met anyone who enjoys hot tea like I do! In Texas, everyone prefers sweet iced tea lol (so do I, but still... I love Earl Grey!) Thanks for visiting :)
